Ferrari 330P4 In Depth
I was thrilled to see a Ferrari 330P4 at Amelia Island in 2014, because I’ve never seen one in the flesh. And the good news is, I arrived at the car just in time for the owner to open it up for photos, so I went wild taking detail shots of the engine. I’d love to see this on the track at Cavallino some time!
2014 Cavallino Classic
For 2014 the Cavallino Classic track days expanded their offerings beyond previous years. For the first time, post-war cars of any marque were welcome, and there were a few Bugattis, Aston Martins, and Talbot Lagos in the mix. It was great to be able to see these historic racers, not just in the paddock but at speed on the track. I took a lot of photos, here’s a sampling of the cars at the event.
2014 Amelia Island Concours
As usual, the 2014 Amelia Island Concours was a fantastic event, with a wide variety of cars on display. This year there was a focus on the cars of Parnelli Jones, McLaren race cars, and Indy cars. For me, one of the biggest highlights was being able to photograph a Ferrari 330P4, the first one I’ve ever seen up close. This gallery is some highlights from the show, and there will be some additional galleries coming with some detail photos from various cars at the concours.
