Daytona Classic 24 – Saturday (Day)
Saturday saw the kickoff of the Daytona Classic 24 event. Rather than have all the cars on the track at the same time, the race was made up of a series of class-based events. I think that was to reduce the wear and tear on the old hardware, and maybe to reduce the odds of an accident. So each class rotated through the event two or three times over the course of the 24 hours. This process also made it much better for those of us trying to take photos, since it meant that the majority of the cars were in the paddock at any given moment.
Daytona Classic 24 – Friday
An assortment of photos from last weekends Classic Daytona 24 Hours. What a fantastic event – lots of cars, plenty of aggressive racing, and wide-open paddocks so photos are a breeze. This set is from Friday, November 13, 2015. Today was the closing race of the Trans-Am season, and qualifying races for the weekend’s 24-hour race.
2015 Amelia Island Concours
Beautiful day in Amelia Island last weekend. The place was packed, as it was the 20th anniversary show. Lots of great cars on display, including a couple D-type Jags, several famous Maserati’s, Stirling Moss’ pea-green Ferrari 250 GTO, and countless classic cars. Here’s a selection of over 500 photos from the concours. Enjoy!
Dekon Chevy Monza
A series of photos of a Dekon Chevrolet Monza that’s been at Sebring historic races over the years.
Sebring SVRA 2015
I was able to attend the SVRA event at Sebring Raceway last weekend. Lots of cars there, some I’d not seen previously along with a whole lot of Trans-Am entries. Here’s around 160 photos from the paddock and track. Enjoy!
Cavallino 2015
A couple hundred photos from this year’s Cavallino Classic track days. Not as many cars as in years past, but the ones that were there were interesting. It was the first time I’ve seen a Maserati Birdcage on the track.
